A Seat
at the Table.

Twenty years, three chapters. Public policy and research in Sydney — understanding how the world works. Management consulting in Singapore — learning how organisations work. And fifteen years with a global bank, from Singapore to Mumbai, leading strategy, governance and the COO function. Hundreds of rooms. This is where I share what they taught me.

The thinking
behind the table.

Senior executive. Strategic advisor. Over two decades across public policy, management consulting and global banking — the last fifteen years leading strategy, governance and the COO function at a global bank operating across Asia, the US and Europe.

Along the way, a pattern emerged. The most consequential lessons — about power, judgement, integrity, and what it truly costs to lead well — were never written down anywhere. The frameworks existed. The case studies existed. But the honest account of what actually happens in rooms where decisions are made? That was missing. So Dana started writing it.

A Seat at the Table has become that account. A body of work for the woman who has delivered everything and quietly concluded she is somehow taking a backseat. For the young professional who knows the answer but will not raise their hand. For any leader navigating an organisation that is changing faster than its own playbook. The question this series keeps returning to is deceptively simple: what does it actually take to lead with both authority and integrity? The answer, it turns out, is worth writing down.

Empowering Women & Young Leaders

The gap between capability and confidence is smaller than most people think. Closing it is the work.

Governance & Strategy

At the intersection of the boardroom and the COO seat, strategy only works when it is held accountable. Two decades of building the structures that make good decisions possible — and last.

Global Perspective

Across Asia, the US and Europe — different regulatory environments, different cultures, different definitions of leadership. The questions that cut through all of it are the ones worth asking.

the Table

Notes from two decades in the room. We all move through these dynamics; few of us stop to name them. That’s what I try to do here — because once you can name it, you can navigate it.

01

Mentorship

The gap between capability and confidence is smaller than most people think. If you’re navigating your first high-stakes rooms, figuring out how to position yourself, or simply wondering whether you belong in the room — I’m interested in that conversation.

02

Speaking & Panels

On leadership, governance, and what it takes to close the gap between potential and permission. Particularly drawn to women in leadership forums and university engagements — rooms where the conversation can genuinely change what someone believes is possible for themselves.

03

Content & Media

If you’re building a platform, hosting a podcast, or looking for a perspective on leadership, governance or the future of work — let’s talk about what we might create together.

04

Community

If you’re building a network for women in leadership — I want to be part of the room. Not just as a participant. As someone who helps shape what that room makes possible.

05

Just a Good Conversation

No agenda. Sometimes the best connections start with: “I read something you wrote, and it made me think.”
